Post-war 1960s - The Rise and Fall of the Luodong Lumber Industry

This event will take place from October 24 to November 15, 2026, at the Luodong Train Station and around the Luodong Forestry Culture Park. Participants will visit existing lumber sites and gain a deeper understanding of the glorious history of Luodong's lumber industry through comparisons with old photographs. Since the forestry station moved to Luodong in 1924, this area became an important wood trading center. Following the end of Japanese rule, the lumber industry quickly recovered, attracting many Taiwanese people to work here. The event will guide you through this history and witness the process of industrial changes.
