Brand team: administrator and editor

Several people can run a brand. The administrator manages everything, the editor changes the content. Here is how to join a team, request the administrator role, and hide or delete a brand.

Team roles

  • “Administrator” - edits the brand, manages the team (changes roles, removes people), can hide and delete the brand and buy promotion. There can be several administrators, but always at least one.
  • “Editor” - only changes the content: description, logo, photos and FAQ.

Everyone can see the team on the brand page (“Also on the team”, “Who is behind the brand”). Team members do not vote for or boost their own brand.

Where you manage your brand

On mybzz.com

  1. Open your brand's page in the catalog.
  2. Click “Manage brand”.
  3. The “Content” tab - description, logo, main photo, screenshots, FAQ.
  4. The “Team” tab - members, requests, website ownership verification, “Visibility and deletion”.

In the app (Android and iPhone)

  1. Tap your photo in the top left corner to open the menu.
  2. Tap “Brand directory” → “My brands” and open the brand.
  3. Go to brand management - you have the same content and team tabs there.

How someone joins the team

You do not invite people by email - they join themselves from the brand page, through “Do you work at this company?” → “Request access”:

  • With an address on the brand's domain - they get a code and join straight away as an editor.
  • With another address - they send a request to the administrators (notification and email). The administrator clicks “Approve” or “Decline” in the “Team” tab.
  • By verifying website ownership (DNS or meta tag) - straight away as administrator.

The administrator can then change a person's role (“Change role”) or remove them from the team (“Remove”). Anyone can leave by themselves with “Leave team”.

Request the administrator role

On mybzz.com

  1. As an editor open “Manage brand” → “Team”.
  2. In the “Request administrator role” section optionally write who you are in the company.
  3. Click “Send request”.

The administrators get a notification and have 7 days to “Object”. If nobody objects, you get the administrator role automatically. When the brand has no administrator at all, you get the role straight away.

Hiding and deleting a brand

  • “Hide brand” - the brand disappears from the catalog, but votes and history stay. With the “Show” button it comes back to its place.
  • “Delete brand permanently” - you have to type the brand name. The brand disappears from Mybzz and from the team members' profiles, and the team gets an email.
  • If the brand has votes from other people, after deletion it stays in the catalog as a brand without a team.
Note: Deleting a brand cannot be undone. If you only want to disappear from the catalog for a while, use “Hide brand”.

Frequently asked questions

I am the only administrator and want to leave.

First give the administrator role to someone else - a brand must have at least one administrator.

Can an editor buy promotion?

No. Brand promotion is bought by an administrator.

The administrator does not respond to my request.

An administrator role request goes through by itself after 7 days without an objection. You can also become administrator straight away by verifying website ownership via DNS or a meta tag.
