Cancelling and managing VIP

You can cancel your VIP subscription at any time. We will not take another payment, and VIP works until the end of the period you have already paid for.

How it works

Cancelling stops the subscription from renewing; it does not switch VIP off straight away. Until the end of the paid period you use all the features as before. Then your account goes back to the free plan - you keep your contacts, chats, posts and points.

Where you cancel depends on where you bought it: VIP bought on the website is cancelled in the Mybzz settings, and VIP bought in the app - in the App Store or Google Play settings.

VIP bought on the website

On the website: cancelling

  1. Click your photo in the top bar → “Settings” → “VIP and subscription”.
  2. Next to “VIP subscription” click “Cancel subscription”.
  3. You can (but do not have to) answer the question “Why are you leaving?” and click “Continue”.
  4. On the monthly plan we may offer you a discount on the next month - choose “Stay with the discount” or “Cancel anyway”.
  5. Confirm with “Cancel subscription” (or “Keep VIP” if you change your mind). We will send a confirmation by email.

On the website: resuming

  1. Until the end of the paid period you see “Resume subscription” in the same place.
  2. Click it, and the subscription will renew as before.

On the website: changing your card and invoice details

  1. “Settings” → “VIP and subscription” → “Manage payment”.
  2. The Stripe portal opens, where you can change your card and invoice details.

VIP bought in the app

In the app: cancelling in the store

  1. iPhone: phone “Settings” → your name → “Subscriptions” → Mybzz → “Cancel Subscription”.
  2. Android: Google Play app → your photo (profile) → “Payments & subscriptions” → “Subscriptions” → Mybzz → “Cancel subscription”.
  3. The Mybzz app itself has no cancel button - the subscription is handled by the store.

Switching from monthly to yearly

The website has no button to change plans. To switch to a different plan, cancel your current subscription, wait until the end of the paid period and buy the new plan - an account can have only one active VIP at a time. You manage an app subscription in the store's subscription settings.

Good to know

  • After cancelling, VIP works until the date we show in settings (“Your VIP plan is active until …”).
  • When it expires, we switch off VIP features: “Whole World” turns off, and a hidden profile becomes visible again.
  • Deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription bought in the store.
  • Cancelling does not mean a refund for the current period. You can read about refunds in the article “Refunds and withdrawal from the contract”.
Tip: Not sure you will come back? Cancel straight after buying if you want to be sure nothing renews - VIP will still stay until the end of the paid period, and until then you can resume it.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose VIP straight away after cancelling?

No. VIP works until the end of the period you paid for.

I do not see the “Cancel subscription” button in settings.

The button is only there for VIP bought on the website. If your VIP comes from the app, you cancel it in the store. If it is free VIP (from points, an invitation or from Mybzz), there is nothing to cancel - it will expire by itself.

Can I resume the subscription after it expires?

After it expires, the “Resume subscription” button disappears. Then you simply buy VIP again.
