Language and dark mode
Mybzz works in Polish, English, German, Spanish and Portuguese (on the website). You can also switch the theme to light or dark.
How language works
We save the language to your account. After signing in, the website switches to the saved language by itself, and we send emails and notifications in that language if it is available for them. On the website you can choose one of 5 languages: English, Polski, Español, Deutsch, Português. The app has 4 languages: English, Polski, Español, Deutsch.
Content written by others (posts, “About me”) stays in the original. We translate chat messages automatically.
Changing the language
On mybzz.com
- Quick way: click your photo in the top right corner and click a flag next to “Language”.
- Or: Settings → “Account” → “Language” and choose from the list.
In the app (Android and iPhone)
- Menu (your photo) → “Settings” → “Account Settings” → “Language”.
- Before signing in, you can change the language with the flag in the top right corner of the start screen.
Dark mode
The website has two themes: light and dark. By default the website is dark. Your choice is remembered by the browser, so you set it separately on each computer. In the app you can also choose the system theme - then the app matches your phone settings.
On mybzz.com
- Click your photo in the top right corner.
- Click the “Dark mode” switch.
- Not signed in? On a wide screen there is a moon (or sun) icon in the top bar that switches the theme.
In the app (Android and iPhone)
- Menu (your photo) → “Settings”.
- At the very top, in the “Mode” section, choose “System”, “Light” or “Dark”.
Good to know
- Portuguese is only on the website. In that case some emails may come in English.
- Changing the language on the website is saved to your account, so it also changes the language of emails and notifications.
- You set the theme on the website and in the app independently.
Frequently asked questions
I changed the language, but emails still come in English.
Check the language in Settings → “Account” on the website. If you chose Portuguese, some emails come in English.
Will the other person see my messages in their language?
Yes, the chat translates messages automatically. More in the Chat and contacts section.
Why is the website dark even though my phone has a light theme?
The website has its own switch and is dark by default. Turn off “Dark mode” in the menu under your photo.
