Hiding your profile
With VIP you can hide your profile: it disappears from Meet, search and its public address, while you keep using Mybzz and talking to your contacts.
How it works
Hiding your profile is a VIP feature. When you turn it on:
- we do not show you to others on cards in Meet or in matches,
- people cannot find you in people search,
- your profile address (and QR code) stops working, and your profile disappears from internet search engines,
- your contacts and chats stay. You can keep messaging, going to events and posting.
Current VIP prices: $29/month or $249/year. You can also get VIP for points.
How to hide your profile
On mybzz.com
- Click your photo in the top right corner and choose “Settings”.
- Open “Discover”.
- Turn on the “Hide profile” switch (“Hide your profile from discovery”). The switch is only visible with active VIP.
In the app (Android and iPhone)
- Menu (your photo) → “Settings”.
- In the “Discovery Settings” section turn on “Hide Profile”. The switch is only visible with active VIP.
To show your profile again, turn the same switch off.
Note: When VIP ends, hiding turns off by itself and your profile is visible to everyone again.
Good to know
- Hiding does not delete your account or data. If you want to disappear for good, see “Deleting or freezing your account”.
- In the same settings section VIP members can also turn off ads (“Show Ads” on the website, “Hide ads” in the app).
Tip: Just want a break from new invitations rather than disappearing? Turn off message notifications in Settings → “Notifications”.
Frequently asked questions
I do not see the “Hide profile” switch.
It is only visible with active VIP. Without VIP it is not there.
Can my contacts still see me?
Yes. Connections and chats stay, and you can keep messaging each other.
What happens when VIP expires?
Your profile automatically goes back to public view.
