Photos, videos, backgrounds and polls in posts

You can add up to 10 photos or videos, a coloured background or a poll with 2-4 answers to a post. Here are the limits and what can be combined.

Photos and videos

  • Up to 10 files in one post - photos and videos count together.
  • Photo: up to 10 MB.
  • Video: MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 500 MB and up to 5 minutes.
  • After publishing, the video is processed for a moment - you will see “Processing video…”.
  • In the app you choose a video from your phone's gallery.

YouTube videos

Paste a link to a YouTube video in the post text and we will show a “Video preview”. The preview works when the post has no photos, background or poll.

Coloured background

“Background Style” turns a short text into a coloured card. There are 15 styles to choose from, including “Sunset”, “Ocean”, “Forest” and “Quote”. The background works for text up to 300 characters and only without photos. With a longer text you will see the message “Too long for colored post”.

Polls

  • A question of up to 300 characters and 2 to 4 answers (each up to 150 characters).
  • A poll cannot be combined with photos or a background.
  • Everyone casts one vote. A poll has no end date.
  • You see the results in percentages after voting. The author sees them straight away.
  • Polls are not anonymous: voters and the author see who voted how (“See who voted”). We tell you this when you create a poll.
  • After the first vote the author can change the question, but not the answers.

On the website: photos, video, poll

  1. Click “What's on your mind?” in the feed.
  2. Click “Add photos” or “Video” and choose the files.
  3. Or click “Create a poll”, type the question in “Ask a question...” and the answers. “Add option” adds another one.
  4. Or click “Background Style” and choose a colour.
  5. Click “Post”.

In the app: photos, video, poll

  1. On “Home” tap “What's on your mind?”.
  2. Add photos or a video from your gallery.
  3. Or choose “Poll”, type the question in “Ask a question…” and the answers (“Add option”).
  4. Or choose a coloured background.
  5. Tap “Post”.

Good to know

  • On the website the author cannot vote in their own poll.
  • You cannot change or withdraw a vote, either on the website or in the app.
  • We label AI-generated images, and we show such posts lower in the “For You” order.
Tip: A poll with one specific question (“Which invoicing tool do you use?”) is the easiest way to start a conversation with your network. Posts with a poll and a photo rank higher in “For You”.

Can I add photos and a poll in one post?

No. Choose one: photos or videos, a background or a poll.

Will anyone see how I voted?

Yes. Voters and the poll author see who voted how.

How long does a poll last?

It has no end. People can vote as long as the post exists.

Something not working?

I see “Video can be up to 5 minutes long”.

Shorten the video to 5 minutes, or upload it to YouTube and paste the link.

I see “Video size must be less than 500MB”.

Reduce the video resolution, or upload it to YouTube and paste the link.

I see “Polls aren't available with photos or a background”.

Remove the photos or background, then create the poll.
