Voice messages, photos and links
In the chat you send text, voice messages and photos. Links are restricted - this protects you from scams.
What you can send
- Text. In the app one message can have up to 5000 characters.
- A voice message. In the app a recording lasts up to 5 minutes - then it stops and sends by itself. The counter shows the time, e.g. “02:37 / 05:00”.
- A photo: JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, BMP or SVG (SVG up to 2 MB). In the app a photo can be up to 10 MB. You send one photo per message.
- An event invitation - it appears in the conversation as a card with a “See the event” button.
We resize photos before saving them (longer side up to 800 px) so they load quickly. Files, documents and videos cannot be sent in the chat.
Rules for links
- 1:1 conversations on the website: only links to mybzz.com are clickable. Other addresses appear as plain text.
- 1:1 conversations in the app: links are not clickable.
- Group chats: only the group admin can send links, and only their links are clickable. A message with a link from other people cannot be sent (“Only the group admin can send links.”). If one did appear, you would see “link hidden” instead of the address.
- Email addresses in the text are not treated as links.
On the website: photo and voice
- In a conversation click the photo icon next to the text field, choose a file and click “Send Image”.
- Click “Record a voice message”, speak, then click “Stop recording”.
- On your first recording allow the browser to use the microphone.
In the app: photo and voice
- In a conversation tap the photo icon and choose a photo.
- Use the microphone icon next to the text field to record a voice message. The recording stops and sends by itself after 5 minutes.
- On your first recording allow the app to use the microphone.
Good to know
- You cannot send voice messages in group chats on the website - do it in the app.
- We do not translate voice messages.
- Photos from conversations you delete are removed from our server after 6 months.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my link not clickable?
In 1:1 conversations only mybzz.com addresses are clickable on the website. This protects you from suspicious links.
Can I send a PDF or a video?
No. In the chat you send text, voice messages and photos.
Something not working?
I see “Unsupported file format”.
Send the photo as JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, BMP or SVG. Save HEIC photos from an iPhone as JPG first.
I see “Can't access the microphone.”
Allow the browser to use the microphone (the padlock icon next to the page address) and try again.
I see “The recording is too short or no file was created.”
Record at least a second or two before stopping.
