QR code ticket and event check-in

Everyone with a confirmed spot gets a ticket with a QR code and a short code. At the entrance the organiser scans it with a phone or types in the code - no paper lists.

How it works

The ticket is created the moment you have a confirmed spot: straight after signing up, after approval by the organiser or when you move up from the waiting list. We send it by email, and it is always available on the event page. The ticket has a QR code and a text code in the format ABC-XYZ (3 characters, a hyphen, 3 characters).

While you are waiting for approval or are on the waiting list, there is no ticket yet - you will get it by email when you get a spot.

Where to find your ticket

On mybzz.com

  1. Open the event page (fastest from mybzz.com/my-events).
  2. Click “Show Ticket” - you will see the QR code and ticket code.
  3. Click “Download Ticket” to save it on your phone or computer.
  4. At the entrance show the QR code or give the ticket code.

In the app (Android and iPhone)

  1. Tap “Events” in the bottom menu and go to the second tab (your events).
  2. Open the event and tap the option to show your ticket.
  3. At the entrance show the QR code on your screen.

Scanning tickets - for organisers

Tickets are scanned by the organiser and every co-organiser - including with the Scanner role, which is only for scanning. The scanner shows straight away whether the ticket is valid.

On mybzz.com

  1. Open the event and click “Manage Event”.
  2. Click “Check in Guests”.
  3. Choose “Scan QR Code” and point the camera at the guest's code, or “Enter Code” and type the ticket code.
  4. For a manually entered code click “Check In”.
  5. Result: “Checked In!”, “Already Checked In”, “Ticket Not Approved” or “Ticket Not Found”. Click “Scan Another”.

In the app (Android and iPhone)

  1. Open your event and go to managing it.
  2. Choose guest check-in - the app will ask for access to the camera.
  3. Scan the QR codes one by one or type in ticket codes manually.

Good to know

  • You can undo an accidental check-in with the “Undo Check-In” button - the event creator, an admin or a manager can do it.
  • In the “Guests” tab the “Checked in” filter shows who has already entered, and next to each person you can see who scanned them.
  • “Ticket Not Approved” means a person who is waiting for approval or is on the waiting list - if you want to let them in, first approve them in the “Guests” tab.
  • At an online event you do not need a ticket - after signing up you see the “Join Meeting” button.
Tip: Give the person at the entrance the Scanner role - they can scan tickets but cannot change the event settings or the guest list.

Frequently asked questions

I lost the email with my ticket. What now?

No problem - the ticket is always on the event page under “Show Ticket”, also in the app.

Can I give my ticket to someone else?

The ticket is tied to the account of the person who signed up. If you cannot come, cancel your attendance - the first person on the waiting list will get the spot.

Can I scan without internet?

Scanning checks the ticket live on Mybzz, so you need internet access.

Something not working?

The camera does not start when scanning.

Allow camera access in your browser or phone settings and try again. You can also switch to “Enter Code”.

“Ticket Not Found” even though the guest has a ticket.

Check that the ticket is for the same event and that the code is entered in the ABC-XYZ format.
