Creating an event

You can add an event on Mybzz in a few minutes: in person or online, with free registration, a spot limit and guest approval. It appears straight away on the event list and map.

How it works

Any signed-in user with an active account can create an event. You do not wait for our approval - the event is published straight away. An automatic check only looks for prohibited content: gambling, adult content, weapons and drugs. Such an event will be rejected.

The event creator automatically becomes its organiser with full permissions. Later you can add co-organisers.

What you fill in

  • Event name - up to 50 characters.
  • Start and end (date and time) and “Timezone”. The end must be after the start.
  • Location: “In Person” (choose an address from the list of suggestions, then the event goes on the map) or “Online” (a link to Zoom, Google Meet, MS Teams, YouTube etc.).
  • Short description - up to 115 characters, shown in lists.
  • Full description - up to 5000 characters.
  • At least one category.
  • Event photo - your own (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP) or from the “Gallery” of ready-made images.

Optional: “Add Further Instructions” (e.g. door entry code, floor), “Capacity” (up to 10,000), “Require approval”, the “Public” / “Private” switch, “Theme color” and “Facebook Pixel”.

  1. Tap “Events” in the bottom menu.
  2. Tap event creation (below the tabs at the top of the screen).
  3. Fill in the same fields as on the website: name, date, place or link, descriptions, categories, photo.
  4. Set the options and save the event.

Good to know

  • Events on Mybzz have free registration. Leave the “Ticket price” field set to “Free”.
  • After creating an event you get the “Organizer” achievement with Mybzz points.
  • You cannot edit a finished event, but in event management you will find “Add similar” - it creates a new event with the same details, without attendees.
  • If you signed up quickly only to register for an event, the website will ask you to complete your profile before you create your own.
Tip: Before publishing, read the article “How to describe an event well” - a good title and photo clearly increase the number of sign-ups.

Frequently asked questions

Does an event need Mybzz approval?

No. It is published straight away. We only block prohibited content (gambling, adult content, weapons, drugs), and anyone can report an event with the “Report event” button.

How many events can I create?

There is no limit on the number of events.

Can I add an online event?

Yes. Choose “Online” and paste the meeting link. Attendees will see the link only after signing up.

How do I add a co-organiser?

After creating the event, go to “Manage Event” → “Overview” → “Event Hosts” → “Add”. Details in the article “Managing an event”.

Something not working?

The form does not accept the address.

Choose the address from the list of suggestions - only then do we get the coordinates for the map (“Select address from list to get coordinates”).

The online link is rejected.

Give the full link to the meeting platform (e.g. Zoom, Google Meet, MS Teams, YouTube), starting with https://.

The event was rejected when saving.

The event content may have been treated as prohibited (gambling, adult content, weapons, drugs). If it is a mistake, message us in the chat.
