Claiming an event as the organiser

We add some events to Mybzz based on public information from organisers' websites. If it is your event, you can claim it for free and manage it yourself: the description, photo, registration and guests.

How it works

Claiming assigns the event to your Mybzz account and makes you its organiser. You claim all published events of the same organiser at once. There are two ways:

  • Instantly, with one click - if your account has the organiser's email address confirmed, or an address in the same company domain (e.g. john@company.com for the organiser office@company.com). Addresses from free mailboxes (e.g. gmail.com, wp.pl) must match character for character.
  • With a code - in all other cases we send a 6-digit code to the organiser's address that received our invitation. The code is valid for 15 minutes.

On mybzz.com

  1. Click the link in the email from Mybzz (mybzz.com/claim-event/…).
  2. If you do not have an account, choose “Create an account (2 minutes)” or “I have an account - log in” - you will come back here automatically.
  3. Click “Claim event” (or “Claim … events” if there are more).
  4. If “Confirm it's you” appears, enter the 6-digit code from the email and confirm.
  5. Done - you will see “Done! The event is yours” and choose how you accept registrations.

In the app (Android and iPhone)

  1. Open the link from the email on a phone with the Mybzz app - the event claim screen opens.
  2. If you are not signed in, sign in or create an account - the link will wait.
  3. Claim the event with one tap or enter the code sent to the organiser's address.

Claiming without the email

If your account has the organiser's address confirmed, in the event list and on mybzz.com/my-events you will see the card “This event looks like yours” with a claim button. If the address is not confirmed yet, the card will ask: “First confirm … - we'll send you a code.” and send a code.

After claiming: what about registration?

Registration keeps going to your existing link. In the “What next? Choose how people register” section you decide:

  • “Keep your link or change it” - if the link is fine, you do not need to do anything.
  • “Switch to free registration on Mybzz” - guest list, QR tickets, approval and messages to attendees on Mybzz.

You can change this at any time in the event edit, in the “Registration and tickets” card.

Good to know

  • Claiming is free. You can then edit or cancel the event.
  • Code: at most 5 wrong attempts, you can send a new code after a minute.
  • Do not want the event on Mybzz? On the claim page click “Remove it / unsubscribe”.

Frequently asked questions

I use a different address from the one the email was sent to.

That is fine - we send the code to the organiser's address, and the event goes to the account you are signed in to. If you do not have access to that mailbox, write to us at contact@mybzz.com - we will check and assign the event.

Does claiming cost anything?

No. Claiming and managing an event are free.

What if someone has already claimed my event?

You will see a message that another account has claimed it. If it is a mistake, message us in the chat - we will sort it out.

Something not working?

The code does not arrive.

Check your spam. You can send a new code after a minute. If still nothing, message us in the chat - we will assign the event manually.

“This code is not correct” or “The code has expired”.

The code works for 15 minutes and allows 5 attempts. Send a new code and enter it straight away.

The link from the email does not work.

The link may have been cut off by your email program. Open it again directly from the email, or message us.

Something missing? This documentation describes how Mybzz works today. If something doesn't match what you see, message us in the chat (bottom right corner of the website, or in the app: Settings → Contact Us) - we'll fix the guide or the app.
